Each year the Air National Guard Noncommissioned Officer Academy Graduate Association holds a national Seminar.  Seminars vary from one to the other; however, the main objective of the national Seminar is to conduct Association business to include a National Guard Bureau and an Air National Guard Training and Education Center, Air National Guard Noncommissioned Officer Academy and Air National Guard Airman Leadership School update, participate in eight hours of Enlisted Professional Military Training and formally recognize the Outstanding Graduate of the Year and the Major General I.G. Brown Command Excellence Award winners.

ANG NCOAGA SEMINAR 44

Fellow NCOAGA members and friends,

During the past 18 months, Chapter 106 has been carefully planning Seminar 44 in La Crosse, WI July 17-19.  I’m very proud of the work and creativity the committee has put forth to make it a great event.  Being the newest chapter to this fine organization, they truly had the energy and passion to make it a worthwhile event for those that attended.

After many conversations with NCOAGA president Ken Montgomery and our committee members, I regrettably must inform everyone that Seminar 44 has been cancelled.  My committee is in the process of establishing a plan to return your registration fee.  You should contact the hotel direct to cancel room reservations.

I recall standing at the podium in Fort Wayne last summer proclaiming that our seminar would be bigger and better than ever.  That was our #1 goal.  Canceling the entire seminar is the last thing we wanted to do.  There are various factors that went into this difficult decision.   However, with the number of registered people, it would have been a dis-service to those that paid to attend and an insult to those that founded this organization many years ago.  I believe it’s a sign of the times—busy people, busy schedules, and simply can’t fit everything in economically.

The NCOAGA executive board will still meet in La Crosse at the Radisson Hotel on July 16th and 17th in the Iowa Room, 2nd floor.  Several critical decisions must be made about organization’s vision and if future seminars will be considered.  Meals will not be provided.  Elected board members are expected to attend.

I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused and likely financial burden to some.  Please understand the difficult position Chapter 106 and the executive board were placed in to make the tough decision.  We hope the chapters around the country will continue to function and flourish – promoting PME, assisting Commanders, and completing community service projects.  Thank you to those that offered support and encouragement along the way.  Please pass this along to your regions and chapters as we spread the bad news.

Sincerely,

 //SIGNED//

Seminar 44 Chairman
